Oman Power and Water Procurement Company (“OPWP”) has identified a need for new electricity generating capacity of 1300 to 1500 MW within Oman, to be operational in the summer of 2012(Early Power) and fully operational in the summer of 2013, and will be implemented as a privately financed Independent Power Project (‘’I PP’’).

Location

The overall capacity of 1300 to 1500 MW will be split equally between sites at Barka ("Barka phase III) and ("Sohar phase II)
